Dog Breed Directory Dogs reflect our behaviour. Which dog do you like, think about, see often, feel a closeness to, have a kinship with? See if it is in our directory. If not, feel free to 'make a request'.I am currently updating all of the reflections. Those that have been updated will have the 'update' in (brackets) below the introduction. WHAT A GOOD BOY AM I !!
English Cocker Spaniel (see Cocker Spaniel (English) English Pointer
Serious minded, although with glee. I’m good for a laugh, a joke, a cup of tea. Yes, life is worth living. Hee Hee, Hee Hee. (What can be said of the English Pointer; so much to say! Those of us who are attracted to this beautiful canine have the ability to do many things; and ‘all at once’. Yes, those of us who find the English Pointer to our liking will feel the pull of many interests throughout our lifetime. In fact, there will not be enough hours in the day, nor days in the year, nor years in our lifetime to fulfill the challenges which will present to us. No, my friends, those of us who partake of the English Pointer energies will wander through many life pathways; all of them as diverse as the snow that falls. Many of us will indeed be confused by the variances of thought that we may have during our moments. One moment we may enjoy a particular field of interest only to find ourselves ‘wrapped up’ in another venture, another interest at the drop of a hat. This may cause some consternation and bewilderment however, let me assure you that this ability to move freely from one adventure, one thought, one attitude, one plan to another is simply the energy that is ‘right’ for those of us who are to have this freedom. Yes, my friends allow the ever changing, mostly gleeful energies of the English Pointer to have their way. Enjoy a life of ever constant change, ever constant freedom of thought.)
But that, sometimes to me, is an impossibility (sigh) ‘melancholy’ that’s me.
A little bit shy, a little bit shy. That’s what they say about me. I don’t see it like that…A little bit self conscious in need of some T.L.C. Yes, in need of some tender loving care. I’m a sensitive soul in need of some tender loving care. That’s me; in need of some tender loving care.
MELANCHOLIA follows wherever I go. MELANCHOLIA nobody knows. What have I done? Why is it so? MELANCHOLIA follows wherever I go.
Eskimo Dog (Canadian Eskimo Dog)
Finnish Spitz
Go on, get out. And don’t come back. Thinks he can push me around. Yeah!! Ha Ha Ha.!!!!!
(All said with tongue in cheek)
Foxhound (General)
French Spaniel (see Epagneul Francais /De Pont-Audemer)
I’m a friendly little fellow who wouldn’t hurt a fly. I’m sweet and loveable, and maybe a little shy. I have a great master on whom I can depend. It’s nice to have friends around you, who for you they’ll bend. Yes, I’m a friendly little fellow who wouldn’t hurt a fly. That’s about all to my story, and so I’ll say goodbye.
Galgo (Spanish Greyhound) I’ve got my eyes on you and wherever you go I’ll follow. I’m observing you. I have a keen judgement. I see all things. Watch out…………………………………………..I’m looking at you! German Pinscher (See Pinscher German and Pinscher Miniature German)
(The German Shepherd personality is one which asks that we ‘stay in the moment’. It is only in ‘present’ time that we can accomplish. Staying ‘in the moment’ encourages us to be mindful. When we are ‘in the moment’ we are truly aware of all conditions surrounding us. We can see more clearly; hear more clearly; observe more clearly; be spontaneous and adapt to the prevailing conditions. It is only when we are ‘in the moment’ that we are truly living life at its full. Being ‘in the moment’ brings with it an air of excitement; adventure; wholeness and a state of awareness that we cannot experience otherwise. And so it is that if we are attracted to the charismatic German Shepherd we are being asked to allow each moment to fill our senses. We are being asked to reap the rewards of living ‘in the moment’ with the awareness and calming aliveness that only living in the moment can bring.) German Short Haired Pointer (Kurzhaar)
German Wire Haired Pointer (Drahtaar) A little less than eccentric. This could describe me. I tend to feel I’m intelligent and amusing, with a dash of zeal.
Just a soppy little puppy like the one my mummy had. I like picnics and lunches. I’m just a soppy little puppy, the one my mummy had. I’m all grown up now, of course. I haven’t changed a bit you know. I like being who I am. I haven’t changed much over the years. I guess I’m still that cute little puppy my mummy had. And you know, I’ll never change; no, I never will.
Hi, I’m coming. Nice day! A round of golf? That would be good. Pleasant day for it. See you in the car. Won’t be long.
Grand Spitz (Black, White or Brown) I’m a little reserved. I love most things. I’m quiet, usually. I like formal things. Dining, craftwork and delicate things. I pride myself on a good house, well kept. I like things to be predictable and ordered: not like they used to be!
Lazy! Who said that? Lazy! Hmm…………………………………….Welllllllllllllllllllllll…….! (See also Italian Greyhound) Chipper Choppa Chipper Choppa Last man’s head head head head head head off.
Griffon Bruxellois (Brussels Griffon Rough Coated) Oh woe is me, I’ve found another flea. Why do they hang around me so? I don’t know why; I’m really a nice guy. I wish they’d up and go!
What a pretty dress; all covered with lace; tied up with a ribbon and a bow.
